Fall is one of my favorite seasons for travel. September always seems like a fresh start to me with back to school, a new notebook, a new beginning, like New Year's but without the healthy eating! Travel seems more accessible and more relaxing this time of year with fewer crowds and gorgeous weather. Here are three suggestions for a perfect Fall trip, whether you are craving Vermont Fall foliage, Southern Charm, or a Northeast historic city.

Twin Farms

This quintessential Vermont town is host to an incredible five-star Relais & Chateau property that has been awarded the Forbes Hotel of the Year (best in the world!) year after year. Twin Farms might quite possibly be the dreamiest escape in the Northeast! Upon arrival, you are greeted with a glass of champagne while you tour the property and take in the stunning landscape of 300 bucolic acres. The exceptional service includes personalized dining tailored to your taste and dietary needs, with every detail of your stay attended to in the background. In addition, this all-inclusive resort offers seasonal activities and experiences curated for you, whether it's a glass of wine with a book in front of the fire, a massage in the spa, visiting farmers' markets, or fly fishing. Their stellar service is unparalleled and is the epitome of true relaxed luxury.

Charleston Place

Charleston, SC

Southern charm meets timeless elegance at Charleston Place, a Belmond Hotel in the heart of downtown Charleston. This property is expansive yet intimate as you step into an imposing lobby with a Georgian-style double staircase and glistening chandelier. Tucked at the hotel's center is a discreet eight-story tower with exclusive Club Level accommodation boasting outstanding views. Fabulous dining options include the Four Diamond-awarded Charleston Grill with sensational Southern cuisine and the Palmetto Cafe featuring a lush courtyard for alfresco lunches. With an infinity-edge rooftop pool and serene spa, relaxation and rejuvenation are at your disposal. Historic downtown Charleston is just outside your door with a fabulous restaurant scene, shopping, sailing, and fun waterfront experiences. Fall weather is perfect for this iconic getaway!

The Langham Boston

Boston, MA

The Langham, Boston is a luxury hotel located in downtown Boston just minutes from the Waterfront, North End, and Faneuil Hall. Housed in a former Federal Bank building, the property has recently reopened after a $200 million renovation with a design mindful of its impressive history. The Fed is an excellent cocktail bar and Grana, opening September 1st, is a fabulous Italian restaurant in the former teller room serving breakfast, lunch, and brunch. Just a short train ride from NYC, Boston never disappoints with beautiful Fall foliage, fantastic shopping, and outstanding dining choices. A visit to Boston's Little Italy, the North End, is always on my list and feels like a bit of an escape. Try Mike's Pastry for incredible cannoli and one of the authentic restaurants and pizzerias that dot the maze of narrow streets.

No matter what type of getaway you wish for, these three properties would not disappoint! If you have any questions or are ready to plan, contact me!
